Cooking Instructions:
Prepare the Batter:
Add 150 ml (1 cup) oil and 1280 ml (8½ cups) water to the mix.
Blend gently until smooth.
Steam the Dhokla:
Grease a steaming tray with oil and pour in the batter.
Steam on high flame for 15 minutes.
Remove trays and cool for 5–10 minutes.
Optional: For Nylon Khaman Dhokla, pour 750 ml (5 cups) of cool water evenly over the Dhoklas after steaming.
Prepare the Tadka (Tempering):
Heat 150 ml (1 cup) oil.
Add 4 teaspoons each of mustard seeds, sesame seeds, and chopped fresh green chilies.
Optional: For Nylon Khaman, add 250 ml (1¾ cups) water to the tadka.
Spread the tadka evenly over the Dhokla.
